I am beginning a series of brief tidbits of ideas that will hopefully help you if you need to create more money in your life.
This blog is focusing on “If You Are Creative and Handy.”
1. Build cute, original houses for: dogs, little kids, aquariums, dog beds, etc.
2. Build bookshelves
out of outrageous stuff: stacks of specific books (e.g. cookbooks, sports books, mysteries, golf series, old dictionaries, Playboy magazines, song books, etc.), car parts, shoes, vintage toys, cooking utensils, musical instruments etc. The more original, personalized, and unusual the higher the price you’ll get. This interesting bookshelf set is from Lago.
3. Make shadow boxes out of unusual items. For example, take an old door that has recessed panels, refinish it, sink unusual heirlooms or memorabilia in them, cover with glass, add legs and you have a fabulous dining room table. Do the same for end tables, coffee tables, poker tables, etc.
4. Build creative, fun cat enclosures for yards, porches, patios. (Most cat enclosures available today look like Stalig 13.) Remember humorous, cute, colorful, and unusual sells big!
5. Assemble really tough toy items like playground sets, dollhouses, etc.
6. Build beautiful garden arches, trellises, flower boxes and benches. The more you can personalize the better advantage you will have over your competition.
7. Design and build functional, fun, and safe toy boxes--again personalized. Add a sound device to the cover or opening and the kids will have great fun with it. Make sure you build to safety standards that prevent the lid from dropping on little one’s heads.
